— The efficacy of the granite dust in replacing sand in concrete is explored followed by its ability to improve the geotechnical characteristics of clays of varying plasticity are explored.

 — Granite dust is a waste produced during cutting and grinding process of granite stone. The waste generation from granite stone industry is in the form of non-biodegradable fine powder, the utilisation of this waste in concrete will help in sustainable and greener development.

 — This study showed that the population living in close proximity (50–500 m) to quarry sites in Birzeit town are exposed to dust in their s, with 69% reporting that the main source of dust in their area was the quarry activities, and with the dust increasing in dry and sunny weather.

 — Quartz, granite, limestone, dolomite, and sandstone are the major rock types used by the crushed stone industry. Granite dust is produced from aggregate crushing plants. Most parts of fines are passing the No. 200 sieve and defined as fine aggregate with a particle size less than 4 mm in diameter.

Rock dust or granite slurry is a granite manufacturing waste product resulting due to the cutting and polishing process. Large quantities of rock dust are produced annually. Disposal of this rock dust has become a major problem.

 — Granite quarry mapping in Kerala (India) by Sajeev and Alex presented the information on granite quarries in the region, and Sajinkumar et al. have made a study to understand the effect of quarrying on the slope stability of Western Ghats.

 — Granite (silicate) rock dust, a by-product of quarry operations, is being advocated and used as a fertilizer in the wheatbelt of south-western Australia (WA).
